Peace Practice

The other day I woke up with the song Let There Be Peace On Earth running through my mind. I love the next line, “Let it begin with me. ” That inspired me to share my favorite peace practice with you.

The whole world benefits when we can bring peace to ourselves and then anchor it into the earth and radiate it out into our communities.

This peace practice is easy to do, and has a beautiful impact. I do this at the beginning of my meditation time, and also any time I think I need to bring myself back into balance from a place of anxiety, worry, or upset. I also do this when I want to offer peace to circumstances outside of me.

Here it is:

~Place your hand on your forehead and repeat out loud three times: Peace to my mind.

~Place your hand on your chest and repeat out loud three times: Peace to my heart.

~Place your hand on your belly and repeat out loud three times: Peace to my body.

~Take three deep breaths and feel yourself filling up with peace .

~Envision this peaceful energy flowing down your body and into the earth, spreading out across the land to wherever it is needed. Repeat out loud three times: Peace to the world.
